BOOKING TERMS
Reservation & Cancellation Policy
Deposit & Payment
A $100 deposit is required to reserve your charter and will be applied to the total trip price. The remaining balance is due on the trip date.
Cancellations
- 7 days or more before departure: Full refund of all payments.
- Less than 7 days but at least 48 hours before departure: The $100 deposit is forfeited. Any amount paid above the deposit is refunded.
- Less than 48 hours before departure or no-show: The full charter price is due. Payments already made are applied to that balance.
Deadlines are calculated from the scheduled departure time.
Rescheduling
Requests made at least 7 days before departure may transfer the deposit to another available date. Requests made later are subject to the cancellation terms above unless the captain approves an exception.
Weather & Captain Cancellations
Safety is our highest priority. The captain makes the final decision about weather and safe boating conditions. Rain or an unfavorable forecast does not automatically cancel a trip.
If the captain cancels before departure because of unsafe weather, mechanical problems, or another operational issue, you may reschedule or receive a full refund of all payments.
Trips Cut Short
If the captain ends a trip early because of unsafe weather or a mechanical issue, the trip price is prorated based on the time completed, and any overpayment is refunded. If a guest requests an early end, including because of seasickness, the full booked rate applies.
Late Arrivals
Arrive before the scheduled departure time. Late arrival may shorten the trip, but the full booked rate still applies. Contact the captain immediately if you are delayed.
Anyone arriving more than one hour late forfeits the charter, and the full payment is due.
Contact & Acceptance
To cancel or reschedule, call or text (941) 828-9249. Notice is effective when the message is received.
By booking your charter and paying the deposit, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
ON THE WATER
Guest Conduct & Safety Policy
We want every guest to enjoy a safe, welcoming, and memorable day on the water. All guests are expected to follow these rules throughout the charter.
Captain’s Authority
The captain has final authority over the vessel, trip activities, and safety decisions. Guests must follow instructions regarding seating, moving around the boat, handling equipment, and wearing life jackets.
Respectful Behavior
Treat the captain, other guests, fellow boaters, and wildlife with respect. Threats, harassment, fighting, discriminatory remarks, and abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Alcohol & Drugs
Guests of legal drinking age may bring alcohol in moderation. Excessive drinking, intoxication, illegal drugs, and impairment that affects safety are prohibited. The captain may refuse boarding or stop alcohol consumption if safety becomes a concern. Please bring beverages in cans or plastic containers; no glass.
Children & Life Jackets
Children must remain under the supervision of their parent or responsible adult. Required life jackets must be worn as directed by the captain. Before your trip, tell us the ages and approximate weights of children so appropriate safety equipment can be confirmed.
Fishing & Equipment Safety
Follow the captain’s instructions when casting, handling hooks, landing fish, and using equipment. Do not handle unfamiliar fish or release fish without guidance. Guests may bring personal fishing equipment with the captain’s approval.
Responsible Fishing & Wildlife
All fishing must comply with applicable regulations. The captain determines which fish may be legally and safely kept. Do not harass wildlife, discard fishing line, or throw trash into the water. Catching a particular species or number of fish is not guaranteed.
Smoking & Vaping
Ask the captain before smoking or vaping. Neither is permitted near fuel or whenever the captain determines it creates a safety concern.
Care of the Boat
Respect the vessel and equipment. Guests may be held responsible for damage caused by intentional misconduct, reckless behavior, or failure to follow instructions. Ordinary wear and normal fishing-related tackle loss are excluded.
Refusal of Service & Early Termination
The captain may refuse boarding or end a charter if a guest is impaired, behaves dangerously, violates this policy, or refuses safety instructions. Serious violations may result in immediate termination without a warning.
If boarding is refused or a trip is ended because of guest misconduct, no refund will be issued, and any unpaid portion of the booked charter remains due.
Guest Agreement
The person making the reservation is responsible for sharing this policy with everyone in their party before departure. By booking or participating in a charter, guests agree to follow this policy and the captain’s instructions.
